Russia and Vietnam have signed several agreements on cooperation in the energy sector

Russia and Vietnam have signed several agreements in the oil and gas sector during a visit to Hanoi by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Signed the basic conditions for the acquisition of 49 percent share of the share capital of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical, a Memorandum of Understanding between «Gazprom Neft» and «Oil and Gas Corporation of Vietnam», informs «Pacific Russia».

The two sides also signed a memorandum of cooperation between the «Inter RAO Export» and North Power Servise for the modernization of power plants in Vietnam and cooperation agreement between the Railways and the state-owned company «Vietnam Railways».

In addition, signed a joint statement of the Chairpersons natschastey Russian-Vietnamese High Level Working Group on priority investment projects. The two sides also signed the plan of activities of the working group on the priority investment projects for 2015.

According to Medvedev, an unprecedented high level of trust between Russia and Vietnam allows the two countries to expand cooperation in many key industries, particularly in the oil and gas sector, nuclear energy and military-technical cooperation.
