Federal Agency for Tourism Russian Primorsky Territory supported the proposal to amend the agreement between the governments of Russia and China on visa-free group tourist trips, said on Monday online administration of the province, informs «Pacific Russia».

According to the director of the regional department of tourism Konstantin Shestakov, Primorye authorities offered to reduce the number of people in a group of tourists from Russia or China from five to three people, including a representative of the guide Tourism Organization, and to increase the occupancy limit group of tourists in the territories of both countries — from 15 to 21 days. The proposals were submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation.

The head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov proposals approved, noting that «this decision will significantly simplify visa procedures, minimizing the need for the complete abolition of the visa regime», it said in a press release.

«I believe that at the stage of development of our very close relations and strategic partnership with China, it makes sense to talk about the full visa facilitation, that in the case of China has already practiced», — said O. Safonov, quoted by the press office.

According to K. Shestakov, innovations will increase the entry flow of tourists from China in Primorye.

«Amendments to the Agreement will entail an increase in inbound tourist flow from China, which will create favorable conditions for economic development of Primorsky Territory» — said the director of the department.

Under current arrangements, the Russian and Chinese tourists, at least five people can visit China and Russia as part of the group of tourists without a visa and stay in the territory of a neighboring state to 15 days. Exchange groups carried out by authorized travel agencies of Russia and China.
