The First Vice-Governor of the Primorsky Territory Vasiliy Usoltsev today, March 12, had a meeting with Alexey Tyupanov, the CEO of JSC «Russian Agency for Insurance of Export Credits and Investments» (EXIAR), informs «Pacific Russia».
The meeting was held shortly before the opening of EXIAR’s branch in Primorye.
«Today big attention of both, federal and regional, authorities is paid to export support. The work of the branch in the Far East will provide significant support in this direction» – the First Vice-Governor denoted.
Alexey Tyupanov told, that for the period of last three years EXIAR supported Russian export project for a total sum of about 6 billion US dollars. EXIAR guarantees are used for financing of such project and also for payment by installment.
According to the EXIAR CEO, today Russian economy is oriented to the east in many aspects, in particular to the cooperation with Asia-Pacific countries. So establishing of the branch in Primorye will strengthen this work.
Last year EXIAR organized nine business-mission of Russian exporting companies to different countries of the world. Ten such event are also planned for this year, eight of them to Asia-Pacific counties: Viet Nam, Thailand, India, Indonesia and other.
Alexey Tyupanov also thanked the Administration of the Primorsky Territory for support.
Vasiliy Usoltsev noted that the Center of Export Support works in Primorye and EXIAR branch should establish cooperation with it.
During the meeting the parties also discussed a project of Vladivostok free-port creation and future Eastern Economic Forum which will be held in Primorye in August 12-15. Vasiliy Usoltsev offered to include the EXIAR representative to the working group on the Forum organization. Alexey Tyupanov had supported this initiative and noted that the representative surely will be included into the working group.
For the reference: JSC «Export Insurance Agency of Russia» had been created in 2011 aiming the key goal to help the implementation of state external economic policy and to improve competitiveness of Russian business in world markets. It is for one hundred per cent affiliated with the Foreign Trade Bank.
The main mandate of EXIAR is to provide insurance protection to export of non-primary goods, work and service and also Russian investments abroad. Today the Agency provides the full list of insurance products for banks and exporters of different size: large, medium and small.
