Посадить дерево житель Куала-Лумпура, столицы Малайзии, 62-летний Катираван Субараун на российском Дальнем Востоке не смог ни во Владивостоке, ни в Хабаровске. Только в Благовещенске ему повезло найти помощников, и исполнить своё намерение, информирует «Тихоокеанская Россия», ТоРосс.
Пушистую ёлочку путешественник из Малайзии посадил в парке Дружбы областного центра, сообщает газета «Амурская правда». Хвойные деревья Катираван Субараун, или просто мистер Кати видел и раньше, но не знал, как они называются по-русски, поэтому определил ёлку как рождественское дерево.
Катираван Субараун житель Куалу-Лумпура. Работал в сфере энергетики, воспитал троих детей и вел достойную жизнь. Однако в последние годы он так озаботился проблемой глобального потепления, что продал один из трёх своих домов, купил мотоцикл и отправился путешествовать по свету, рассказывая об угрозе изменения климата.
Катираван Субараун считает, что решить эту проблему поможет посадка как можно большего количества деревьев. Причём, по всему миру. Для этого мистер Кати с января текущего года уже побывал в Австралии, Индонезии, Японии, Корее, Сингапуре.
В нашу страну малайзиец прибыл через Владивосток. Но в этом городе ему не удалось посадить дерево, поскольку, по словам мистера Кати, он не нашёл там людей, которые бы ему помогли в этом. По этой же причине путешественник не оставил «зелёный след» и в Хабаровске.
Добравшись до Амурской области Катираван Субараун поселился в небольшой частной гостинице Благовещенска.
— Он приехал к нам очень поздно, уставший. Хорошо, что мы немного владеем английским языком, поэтому в процессе общения узнали о цели путешествия мистера Кати и решили ему помочь, — рассказывают владельцы гостиницы Дмитрий и Татьяна Гудзовские.
Уже на следующий день они провели для гостя экскурсию по набережной Амура, показали город. Татьяна договорилась с руководством парка Дружбы о том, что именно там мистер Кати может высадить дерево. Дмитрий съездил в Биопарк и купил пушистую ёлочку. Он также подарил малайзийцу флаг России. Дело в том, что мистер Кати у посаженного им дерева обязательно фотографируется с флагом своей страны, а теперь в путешествии по российским просторам он будет расправлять уже два полотнища.
— Посещение вашей страны было моей мечтой. Бог любит Россию, и Бог благословил меня на эту поездку. У нас всех одна Земля, и мы должны спасти её, высаживая как можно больше деревьев, — сказал мистер Кати перед посадкой ёлочки.
Почва в парке оказалась тяжеловатой, и было видно, что пожилому малайзийцу нелегко её копать. Но он справился и был очень доволен результатом, поскольку хвойных деревьев ему сажать ещё ни приходилось.
— Земляной ком не повреждён, поэтому ёлочка должна прижиться, — пояснила руководитель парка Дружба Елена Мосиенко. Именно ей и её сотрудникам предстоит ухаживать за деревом.
31 мая мистер Кати отправился из Благовещенска дальше. Следующим пунктом его остановки будет Ерофей Павлович, затем Чита. А доехав до Бурятии, путешественник планирует завернуть ещё и в Монголию, потом вновь вернуться на территорию России и пересечь страну с востока на запад, до Санкт-Петербурга. И в каждом городе, где найдутся такие же, как в Благовещенске, отзывчивые и добрые люди, он намерен сажать деревья, пишет «Амурская правда».
