
About 30 Kuril passed a medical examination during the visit of the Japanese delegation to Kunashir and Shikotan under the visa-free exchanges. This procedure is usually carried out as humanitarian aid by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, residents of the neighboring islands, informs «Pacific Russia».
The purpose of the survey — to identify in the Kuril disease to determine their causes and ways of further treatment. According to the results of surveys of patients formed the plan, which the Japanese side invited for treatment next year.
As the director of «Kuril-Japan Center» Alexander Vyugovsky Japanese stayed on the islands from 24 to 26 July. The delegation consisted of 73 people.
