
«RusHydro» holding «RAO Energy System of East» (included in «RusHydro») and the Japanese Kawasaki Heavy Industries plans to introduce in 2019 a pilot plant for the production of complex liquid hydrogen in the Magadan region. According to the press service of «RusHydro» with reference to a board member and CEO of the company «RAO ES Vostkoa» Sergei Tolstoguzova, informs «Pacific Russia».
It is assumed that the pilot power of the complex is 11.3 tons of hydrogen per day. Total power industry is estimated at 200 tons per day, it should be introduced in 2026. Currently, the report said, energy and Japanese partners have detailed study of the project, in particular, determine the construction site, and the cost of funding the project.
It is assumed that «RusHydro» and «RAO Energy System of East» will conduct electricity production in existing plans to develop a network infrastructure Magadan.
Tripartite agreement on the construction of a liquefied hydrogen with its further transportation to Japan «RAO Energy System of East», «RusHydro» and Kawasaki Heavy Industries signed in June 2013.
