A concept of the fishery cluster will be represented in April

The delegation of the Primorsky Territory discussed the perspectives of further cooperation with the representatives of Japanese Nomura Research Institute. The meeting was held in the frameworks of VI Russian-Japanese Investment Forum in Tokyo, informs «Pacific Russia».

In the course of the meeting the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation noted that he supports the initiative of Vladimir Miklushevskiy on involving international operator – Nomura Institute in creation of fishery cluster. In the end of April the planner will announce the common concept. After that techno-economic justification will be developed.

According to the opinion of Andrey Aksenov, the Head of the Agency for Investments Attraction to the Primorsky Territory, it will allow to attract both Russian and Japanese investments.

«We expect that an excellent concept will be created with your help and it will allow to develop the fishery cluster and attract both Russian and Japanese investments» – he underlined.

The representatives of the Institute expressed their gratitude for given possibility to take part in the project to the delegation of Primorye which will promote industrial development of Russia and the Primorsky Territory in particular.

«We made it our mission to achieve high results and recognize our responsibility» – the representatives of the Institute noted.

Andrey Aksenov also expressed hope that the Institute will take part in other concepts development.

«Our priority is to attract investments to Primorye. Several industrial sites will be creating there, excluding fishery cluster. And the Governor expects that creation and development of them will include participation of international operators and international consultants. We count on your experience» – he told to Japanese part.

The representatives of the Institute noted in their turn that they are ready to take part also in other projects realization connected with manufacturing and industry.

We remind that the creation of the fishery cluster in Primorye is the initiative of the Governor of the Primorsky Territory Vladimir Miklushevskiy. For the first time the project was represented on the International Fisherman Congress in September 2013.

«Need for fishery cluster exists not only in Primorye but in Russia at whole. One of the main tasks is increasing of fish processing level on the coast» – the Head of the region thinks.
