Ненужным назвал мост с материка на Сахалин бывший глава администрации президента, ныне специальный представитель главы государства по вопросам природоохранной деятельности, экологии и транспорта Сергей Иванов. Выступив против его строительства он отметил, что это экономически нецелесообразно, поскольку для моста нет грузов. По его словам, одна лишь автомобильная часть дороги протяженностью 536 километров обойдётся дороже, чем сам мост. Но председатель комитета Госдумы по региональной политике и проблемам Севера и Дальнего Востока Николай Харитонов напомнил, что о возведение надёжной переправы на остров мечтали давно, информирует «Тихоокеанская Россия», ТоРосс.
Николай Харитонов в эфире НСН отметил: «Для жителей Дальнего Востока мост на Сахалин — это вековая мечта. Его строительство исторически было бы обоснованно. Когда начали строить Крымский мост, то всем все было понятно. Но ведь Сахалин — это тоже Россия. Раньше вообще были планы проложить железную дорогу вплоть до Японии, Понятно, что сейчас финансовое положение страны не самое лучшее, денег всегда не хватает, но в космос человек всё-таки полетел. Может, мы пока ещё сами не понимаем ценность этого моста?»
Харитонов перечислил проблемы, которые можно решить с помощью моста на Сахалин.
«Во-первых, с Дальнего Востока по двадцать пять-тридцать тысяч человек ежегодно уезжают. Чтобы это прекратить, Сахалин надо плотно увязывать с материковой частью страны. Во-вторых, с мостом будет проще перевозить любые грузы. Даже во Владивостоке, в Приморском крае не хватает строительных материалов. Кроме того, сорок миллионов гектаров земли брошено. Может, мост — это невидимая золотая иголочка в стоге сена?» — задался вопросом он.
Комментируя слова Иванова, что для моста нет грузов, Харитонов напомнил о больших объёмах выловленной на Дальнем Востоке рыбы.
«В европейской части России люди по-хорошему свежей рыбы не едят. Губернатор Камчатки Владимир Солодов предлагает доставлять её Северным путем до Санкт-Петербурга, а потом развозить по всей стране. Но перекладывать из рефрижераторов в трюм и обратно нежелательно. Ведь гораздо удобнее было бы перевозить морепродукты по железной дороге», — замечает депутат.
По мнению Харитонова, железную дорогу на Сахалин всё же нужно построить, «если мы хотим вдохнуть жизнь» в территорию Дальнего Востока.
Он также заявил о необходимости наладить сообщение с Курильскими островами.
«Курилы — это не маяк России, а территория страны. Она должна быть защищена, там люди должны хорошо жить. Тем более там такие ресурсы морские. Будут большие поступления, если не продавать всё в Японию», – уверен Харитонов.
Между тем, ещё в 2018 году президент Путин поручил правительству проработать вопрос о постройке моста между Сахалином и материковой частью России. Кстати, в программе развития РЖД до 2025 года заложено 540 миллиардов рублей для строительства железнодорожного перехода на остров.
