В июле-августе объединённая научная группа учёных Всероссийского научно-исследовательского института рыбного хозяйства и океанографии (ВНИРО) и его Тихоокеанского, Полярного и Камчатского филиалов выполняла донные траловые съёмки в Беринговом море в ходе Трансарктического перехода научно-исследовательского судна «Профессор Леванидов». Участники экспедиционного рейса рассказали о первом этапе работ, информирует «Тихоокеанская Россия», ТоРосс.
Как рассказал начальник рейса сотрудник ТИНРО Андрей Савин, донные траловые съёмки проводились в западной части Берингова моря, в Карагинской подзоне и Западно-Беринговоморской зоне (в Олюторско-наваринском районе). Учёные исследовали запасы донных рыб, в том числе минтая и трески, а также промысловых беспозвоночных – ракообразных и моллюсков.
Данные районы являются местами активного рыболовства, поэтому мониторинг состояния запасов имеет первостепенное значение для промышленности. Результаты комплексных исследований будут использованы при подготовке прогнозов общего допустимого улова (ОДУ) и рекомендованного вылова (РВ).
По предварительным оценкам, запасы трески удерживаются на уровне выше среднего. Судя по полученным данным, двухгодовики и годовики представлены урожайными поколениями, поэтому пополнение чрез один-два года ожидается многочисленным.
Запасы минтая держатся на стабильном уровне, пополнение также ожидается не ниже средней урожайности.
Также собраны сведения по камбалам, наваге, сельди и угольной рыбе. Кроме того, в ходе рейса выполнены гидрологические и акустические съёмки. В настоящее время проводится анализ полученных материалов, результаты будут представлены на заседании биологической секции Учёного совета ТИНРО.
Как ранее сообщалось, исследования проводились в рамках масштабной экспедиции по изучению ресурсов арктических вод Российской Федерации и среды их обитания. В настоящее время НИС «Профессор Леванидов» выполняет комплексные исследования в Восточно-Сибирском море, затем проследует в Карское и Баренцево моря, сообщает пресс-секретарь Тихоокеанского филиала ВНИРО Константин Осипов.
