Спортсмены из Хабаровского края успешно выступают на VI Всемирных военных играх, которые проходят в южнокорейском городе Мунген. В первые дни соревнований высокие результаты продемонстрировали хабаровские легкоатлеты, информирует «Тихоокеанская Россия».
Так, Екатерина Конева завоевала золотую медаль в тройном прыжке, установив при этом новый рекорд в истории Игр – 14,28 метров. Ее ближайшая соперница – Юлимар Рохас из Венесуэлы – проиграла хабаровчанке почти полметра, прыгнув на 13,82 м.
Серебряную медаль в прыжках в высоту выиграл другой легкоатлет края, действующий чемпион России Даниил Цыплаков. С первой попытки он успешно одолел высоту 2,28 метра, уступив победителю – сирийцу Мажиду Эддин Газалю – всего три сантиметра.
В настоящее время российские легкоатлеты лидируют в медальном зачете игр, завоевав восемь наград – пять золотых и три серебряных.
Всемирные военные игры проходят под эгидой Международного совета военного спорта, куда Россия входит с 1995 года. На соревнованиях будет разыгран 251 комплект наград. Российские спортсмены выступят в 17 видах спорта из 24. В состязаниях участвуют представители более 100 стран мира, сообщает пресс-служба правительства Хабаровского края.
