
International Badminton Tournament prestigious Russian Open Grand Prix, held in Vladivostok. At the tournament in the regional center of Primorye athletes come from different countries — Indonesia, India, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Finland, Czech Republic, Lithuania, the United States and Israel. Chinese badminton players were absent, but Vladivostok representatives of three Russian team — primary, secondary and youth. Among them were athletes from Vladivostok club «Primorje» — the strongest in Europe and Russia, informs «Pacific Russia».
Strong competition had Russian badminton rivals from Japan, who won a total of 12 medals (Russians — six). In particular, Japanese athletes completely took the podium in the women’s singles and doubles and became the best in the men’s doubles and mixed doubles. Its status as the favorite and the first scattered confirmed Vladimir Ivanov from Primorye, who won the men’s singles. However, in the doubles with Ivan Sozonov he became only the third. Primorye Eugene Dremin and Eugene Dimova took third place in the mixed category.
Recall that at the Russian Open badminton tournament fought not only for a portion of the prize fund of 50 thousand rubles, but for ranking points. In fact ahead of the athletes — the largest selection on the tournaments, including the 2016 Olympic Games.
