Владивосток готовится принять очередной, уже седьмой по счёту, VII Международный Дальневосточный фестиваль «Мариинский». Он пройдёт с 28 июля по 14 августа. Откроет праздник балет Сергея Прокофьева «Ромео и Джульетта» на сюжет бессмертной трагедии Уильяма Шекспира. А 4 и 6 августа на Приморской сцене Мариинского театра состоятся показы знаменитой оперы Модеста Мусоргского «Борис Годунов», информирует «Тихоокеанская Россия», ТоРосс.
Партию Бориса Годунова исполнит всемирно известный бас Ильдар Абдразаков, впервые принимающий участие в фестивале во Владивостоке.

Вместе со звездой на сцену выйдут солисты Мариинского Станислав Трофимов, Сергей Семишкур, Евгений Акимов, Андрей Серов, Михаил Колелишвилли, а также солисты Приморской сцены театра Вячеслав Васильев и Лаура Бустаманте. Руководить Симфоническим оркестром Мариинского театра будет сам маэстро Валерий Гергиев.
Во Владивостоке представят первую редакцию знаменитой оперы Мусоргского, написанной композитором в 1869 году. Мусоргский по-своему подошёл к воплощению литературного первоисточника — трагедии Пушкина: драматургия его музыкального произведения направлена на раскрытие трагического образа Бориса Годунова – царя, но страдающего человека, принявшего на себя непомерный груз государственной власти. Мучимый совестью, обвинённый в преступлении, страдающий человек — таким предстаёт в опере Борис Годунов.
Для первого знакомства владивостокской публики с шедевром Модеста Мусоргского театр представит постановку, основанную на знаменитом спектакле Андрея Тарковского. Режиссёром адаптации на Приморской сцене выступит Сергей Богославский. Видеопроекции к преставлению готовит главный художник театра Пётр Окунев. Ответственным концертмейстером выступает художественный руководитель оперной труппы Приморской сцены Мариинского театра заслуженная артистка России Ирина Соболева. Главные хормейстеры — Константин Рылов (Мариинский театра) и Лариса Швейковская (Приморская сцена).
