Экспедиция УПС «Паллада», посвящённая 280-летию Второй Камчатской экспедиции Витуса Беринга, продолжается, информирует «Тихоокеанская Россия».
18 августа, следуя Четвертым курильским проливом по маршруту проекта «Берингия-2021», экипаж и курсанты «Паллады» почтили память советских воинов, погибших при освобождении Курильских островов от японских оккупантов в августе 1945 года, ровно 76 лет назад. В торжественной обстановке на воду был спущен венок, а все присутствующие почтили подвиг моряков минутой молчания.
22 августа в России отмечали День государственного флага. На «Палладе» по случаю праздника был проведён ряд торжественных мероприятий. На корме судна состоялось построение курсантов, под гимн Российской Федерации торжественно был поднят государственный флаг РФ.
Затем парусник встал на рейд у порта Корсакова (о. Сахалин). Курсантский состав чувствует себя хорошо, программа плавательной практики выполнятся успешно.
25 августа судно выйдет на финишную прямую — возьмёт курс на Владивосток. До родного порта останется 550 морских миль. В порт приписки «Паллада» прибудет 31 августа.
